When searching for synths in the EDM genre, you’ll come across the synthesizer “Spire”.
Today, I’d like to review this synth.
Solid sound with a strong low end
It’s not heavy, but it has a solid sound.
The high end is not sparkly, but it has a smooth and expressive feel.
If we were to compare it to string instruments, it would be like a viola or cello.
(Is it hard to understand?)
Easy to understand basic sound design
If you look closely at the white parts of the upper block, you’ll notice that they are outlined with symbols like “=” and “>”.
Doesn’t your eye naturally follow along with these outlines?
If you follow this order, the sound design turns out well.
I think this is easy to understand.
Great idea!!
How do you write automation?
Recently, I’ve gotten used to synths that can be set with “drag and drop”…
I don’t really understand it, lol.
Even when I open presets, there are no dynamically moving elements, so I can’t tell at a glance which settings are involved, lol.
I guess I need to search for the operating instructions somewhere~
That’s how I felt. (Maybe it’s just me)
Abundant and easy-to-find presets
Even if you can’t do sound design yourself,
there are enough presets included by default.
You can search for various presets like this,
and there are also presets available for sale.
Conclusion
I really like the sound quality.
The sound feels reassuring.
You can leave the sound design to other synths
and just use Spire as a rompler, and still be satisfied, lol.
If you understand it properly, the possibilities expand even further,
so I think it’s a very attractive synth.
